Ma più che mai l'amore, la carità fraterna tra noi, e l'amore verso Dio.
But most of all love, the brotherly love among us, and love towards God.
Rinnoviamoci in questi giorni affinchè possiamo accogliere bene la Mamma nostra, che possa riempirci delle sue benedizioni.
Let's renew ourselves in these days so that we can welcome well our Mommy, so that she can fill us up with her blessings.

Let's remember that this is a very special grace not given to everybody but to very few, and these very few are the fortunate us.
Quindi prepariamoci bene ad accoglierla con amore e con una preparazione veramente degna della Mamma nostra.
So let's prepare well to welcome her with love and with a preparation really suitable to our Mommy.
E sapete qual'è il miglior modo di accogliera? L'amore. Ma l'amore, come dissi in un'altra volta, nel linguaggio nostro qui sulla terra è sinonimo di amaro.
And do you know the best way to welcome her? Love. But love, as I said before, in our earthly language is synonym with bitterness (in italian: amore - amaro).
Quindi è necessario soffrire, e soffrire con amore e per amore di questa Mamma.
Therefore it is necessary to suffer, and to suffer with love and for the love of this Mommy.
Specialmente le sofferenze che in questi giorni potranno incoglierci, portarle almeno con dolce rassegnazione,
Especially the sufferings that we will face these days, let's bear them with sweet resignation,
affinchè questa Mamma possa trovare in noi i cuori preparati per ricevere sempre maggiori grazie e maggiori doni, per poter conseguire la nostra eterna salute.
so that this Mommy can find our hearts ready to receive more graces and more gifts, so that we can attain our eternal salvation.

E una delle virtu' che dobbiamo più che mai preparare alla Mamma nostra per la sua venuta è la pazienza e la costanza.
And the virtues that we have to prepare for our Mommy for her coming are patience and constancy.
Senza queste due virtu' non possiamo piacere a Dio e molto meno alla Mamma celeste.
Without these virtue we cannot please God and much less the heavenly Mommy.
Percio' in questi giorni cerchiamo di estentare noi stessi in questa Mamma celeste imitandola nella virtu' della pazienza e della costanza.
So, in these days let's try to get close tothis heavenly Mommy, imitating her in the virtues of patience and constancy.
E poi cerchiamo ancora di renderci il meno indegni che sia possibile.
An let's make us the least unworthily possible.
Detestiamo il nostro mal passato col serio proposito di veramente incominciare una vita degna dei figli di Dio e degna di questa Madre celeste.
Let's detest our past wrongdoing, with a serous resolution to really start a life worthy of children of God and worthy of this heavenly Mother.

Si' è aspro il cammino purtroppo in questa ma se questa Mamma lo vuole, come lo vuole in realta'
Yes, the path is hard in this, but if this Mommy wants, as she really wants it,
è pronta a darci anche una mano perché possiamo osservare tutto questo che lei vuole.
she is ready to give a helping hand so that we may observe all that she want.
Quindi, mettiamoci di santo proposito, raccomandiamoci a questa Mamma la quale non desidera altro che il nostro bene,
So, let's make an holy resolution, recommending us to this Mommy that only wants our goodness,

Cerchiamo e sforziamoci di imitare questa Madre, ma in modo speciale la virtu' del soffrire.
Let's make an effort to imitate this Mother, especially with the virtue of suffering.
Imitiamola al piè della Croce, addolorata nel contemplare il suo Figlio moriente, se vogliamo piacere a questa Madre.
Let's imitate her at the foot of the Cross, sorrowfully contemplating her dying Son, if we want please this Mother.
Del resto, o vogliamo o non vogliamo la sofferenza è per tutti. Quindi cerchiamo che questa diventa virtuosa per noi imitando la nostra Mamma addolorata.
Besides, like it or not, suffering is for everybody. So, let's imitate our sorrowful Mommy.
E questa stessa Madre ci dara' la forza per poter soffrire cristianamente, affinchè possiamo ricevere il premio a suo tempo.
And this same Mother will give us strength to suffer christianly, so that we can receive the reward at proper time.

The Madonna will help us. Than I beg for charity all of you, the same that I asked few days ago,
I poveri ammalati nell'ospedale hanno bisogno di sangue. Quindi chi vuol fare quest'opera di carità si porti sull'ospedale.
The poor sick in the hospital need blood donations. So anybody who wants to make this act of charity, go to the hospital.
E anche questa è una carità, perché darete la vita ai poveri infermi.
And this too is a charity, because you will give life to the poor sick.

L'apostolo san Paolo parlando nello Spirito santo, scrivendo ai primi cristiani del suo tempo raccomandava a tutti la modestia cristiana.
The apostle Paul, speaking by the holy Spirit, writing to the first christian of his time recommended to everybody the christian modesty.
Quindi è una virtu' gradita alla Mamma nostra celeste perché è lo Spirito Santo che lo dice e lo sentite. Ebbene modestia in tutto.
So this is a virtue pleasing our heavenly Mommy because is the holy Spirit who sais it. Therefore, modesty in everything.
Ma per lo Spirito santo tutte le altre virtu' bisogna conservarle e non dimostrarle mai all'esterno perché la modestia è lo specchio dell'anima.
But according to the holy Spirit all the other virtues we don't have to show them outside, because modesty il the mirror of the soul.
Quindi un'anima ben regolata, un'anima veramente che ama Dio, che ama la virtu', cerca di nasconderla, compiacendosi soltanto che siano note agli occhi di Dio.
So, a soul that really loves God and the virtues, hides them, pleased that they are known only to the eyes of God.
La modestia soltanto vuole che sia nota a tutti, perché è lo specchio che da' lustro alle persone veramente cristiane amanti di Dio.
Modesty is the only one that wants to be known to everybody, because it brings prestige to the people really Christians loving God.
E siccome è una virtu' è gradita tanto ancora dalla Mamma nostra. Quindi raccomando la modestia in tutto.
And since it is a virtue so pleasing our Mommy, I recommend modesty in everything.
Negli sguardi, nel tatto, nel parlare, nel pensare che vogliamo fare veramente cosa gradita a questa Mamma celeste.
Modesty in sight, in touching, in talking, in thinking that we really want to do a thing appreciated by our heavenly Mommy.

Our heart are are anxious for the coming of this Mommy because she wants to visit her children. So it is an act of love.
Quindi prepariamoci anche noi con lo svuotare i nostri cuori di tutto cio' che nè è Dio nè sa di Dio e nè porta a Dio.
So let's prepare emptying our heart of everything that doesn't belong to God and doesn't take us to God.

This is the best welcome that we can offer to this heavenly Mother.
Riservarsi qualche cosa non è degno di un figlio dinanzi a una Mamma che viene a offrire tutta se stessa.
To hold back something is not suitable for a child in front of a Mommy that comes to offer all of herself.

Sia lodato Gesù e Maria. Poche ore ci separano dalla visita della Mamma nostra.
Jesus and Mary be praised. Only few hours separate us from the visit of our Mommy.
Non ci facciamo trovare con le mani vuote e col cuore pieno ancora di affetti che non sono nè santi nè puri dinanzi aglio cchi di questa Mamma.
Don't let her find ourselves empty handed and with the heart full of attachments neither saintly or pure to the eyes of this Mommy.
Quindi svuotiamoci, prepariamoci a fare un'accoglienza degna di una Mamma. Una Mamma con le mani piene di grazie e col cuore pieno di amore.
So, let's empty ourselves and lat's prepare for a welcome worthy of a Mommy. A Mommy with the hands full of graces and the heart full of love.
Quindi facciamo altrettanto per quanto dipende dalla nostra debolezza e pochezza. Ma non ci ritardiamo.
So let's do the same even with our weaknesses and limitations. But let's not delay.
E allora si' che questa Mamma celeste sarà contenta di noi e non si pentira' di una visita tutta straordinaria per noi povere creature.

Quindi ci stringiamo perfettamente a Gesù evitando quello che ci rende tizzoni d'inferno. Invece ci siamo rivestiti della grazia di Gesù con la sua passione e morte.

Ma c'e una cosa da aggiungere, ed è questa: assistiamo alla Santa Messa perché è il Calvario stesso in cui Gesù compi' la Redenzione nostra dinanzi al Padre Eterno.

Ma sia questa una vera compunzione di spirito, di dolore per i nostri peccati, ma nello stesso tempo di confidenza nella divina giustizia placata dal Figlio suo.
